At 100 years old, there is nothing stopping Briton Fauja Singh from running races. In fact he has become the world’s oldest marathon runner after completing a race in Canada, as reported on Sky News.
It took Singh eight hours, 25 minutes and 16 seconds to complete the Scotiabank Toronto Marathon and he took the 3,850th place. Singh started to run 11 years ago after his wife and son passed on. Since then he has trained every day and runs 16 km. Singh credits his success to ginger curry, drinking tea and “being happy”.
